Joel L. Joel L. Dahnke has over thirty-five years’ experience in the general practice of law representing business, banking and real estate clients in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia. As a former partner in one of the largest law firms in Virginia, Mr. Dahnke brings broad based and deep legal experience and expertise to clients in a smaller and more personal setting.
Mr. Dahnke for many years has represented banks and other financial institutions in a wide variety of legal matters, including most types of commercial and real estate lending transactions.
Mr. Dahnke also represents a variety of businesses on organizational matters, equity owner arrangements, option and other equity incentive plans, contract matters and business acquisition and sale transactions. In addition to representing banks and other financial institutions in real estate lending transactions, Mr. Dahnke represents developers and builders in real estate acquisition, development, construction, and sales.
Related to the firm’s business oriented practice, Mr. Dahnke has substantial commercial litigation experience in State and Federal court cases involving breach of contract, non-competition and non-solicitation agreements, employment agreements, real estate matters, and business torts (interference with contract, interference with prospective business, breach of fiduciary duty,and conspiracy to interfere with trade or business).
